Happy Feet 1 and 2: the penguins go wild on TF1
During this Christmas week, TF1 offers many cartoons for the whole family, including some unreleased to terrestrial TV. This afternoon, young and old will be able to entertain both parts of Happy Feet at 15.30. Directed by George Miller in 2006 and 2011, they depict the adventures of Mumble, a penguin from Antarctica gifted to tap dance. Problem: the gift does not serve him much since in the region, we must know how to sing to find your soul mate! Surprise hit when it was released in theaters, Happy Feet had met in France 1.5 million spectators, and grossed nearly $ 195 million at the US box office, with a budget of 85 million euros. At 17.20, TF1 connects with the release of Happy Feet 2 in which Mumble became a father! But history repeats itself: his son Erik, this time is allergic to dance. During a fugue, he met a famous penguin, Sven, who can fly. Impressed, the young son did in his new hero to the chagrin of Mumble. The latter soon have the opportunity to prove his courage so that their world is threatened ... With a larger budget for the first installment (EUR 130 million), Happy Feet 2 is not very well worked in French cinemas in 2011: only 630,000 spectators made the trip. Even finding the US box office, where the cartoon has not surpassed the $ 60 million despite a pretty volcal cast composed of Brad Pitt and Matt Damon and Robin Williams. Penguins take revenge perhaps this afternoon on TF1!
