Hi readers today I am here with a post that I am writing very accidentally. I knew about the history of Thefacebook.com  which was the primary domain when Facebook started but I wanted to type in and search  to see what happens .

1. Fb.com Facebook purchased this domain from American Farm Bureau whose current domain is fb.org. And can you just imagine how much did Facebook pay to acquire this domain ?? $8.5 million, It is more than 40 times of what Facebook paid to acquire the domain Facebook.com.

2.Face.com Well Facebook purchased this too and the terms of the deal were not been publicly disclosed.  When you visit the domain following message gets displayed as shown in the screen below. Face.com

I just missed out something you know what .  The feature of  Facebook that identifies images on its own is also of the same company face.com.

With domain Facebook purchased its software too. So cool ! Facebook does take every measure so that no company can ever defeat the  standards set by them.

3. Thefacebook.com  This is another redirecting URL that directs the user back to Facebook.. This was the primary domain when Facebook started. The CEO and founder of  Facebook Mark Zuckerberg wanted the domain Facebook.com  but it was already in use by other company so the founders decided to use the domain thefacebook.com . When the social network launched thefacebook.com  was just for collage students.

4. Facebook.com  TheFacebook became the real Facebook after it purchased the domain facebook.com for $200,000 in August 2005. And yeah till now we know it as Facebook.com
