Ellie Goulding moves into second place Mega Top 50

The Jamaican singer OMI is still the standard bearer in the Mega Top 50. But the competition is now on his heels.

His hit Cheerleader  goes before the sixth week to head to next week and the biggest Jamaican hit ever in the Netherlands.

But meanwhile OMI already feel the hot breath of Ellie Goulding (photo) in his neck. Fifty Shades Of Grey is not only in the Books Top 10 and Top 10 Films a great success, but also in the Mega Top 50.

Gouldings hit Love Me Like You Do , from the movie soundtrack, this week climbed by a fourth to second place and is eager to take power in the Mega Top 50.

With the continuing popularity of the film Ellie Goulding next week can sometimes take the last step to go to the top. Goulding conquered that lead already in seventeen countries, including Britain, Germany and Australia. In the American charts was Love Me Like You Do  to place third.

Moreover, also the number Earned IT  of the group The Weeknd comes from Fifty Shades Of Grey . And that single does well in the Mega Top 50: The Weeknd rises this week to 20.

Ariana Grande

A bit further in the Mega Top 50's One Last Time  Ariana Grande the highest new entry at number 32. The track has a Dutch touch, because one of the composers Giorgio Tuinfort, a Surinamese Dutchman who now as a composer and producer, a big name in America.

Also signed the French top producer David Guetta for part of the composition. Guetta and Tuinfort also worked together on yet another hit in the Mega Top 50, "What I Did For Love '. The song, with vocals by Emeli Sandé, this week climbs to 44.

Second hit Kovacs

The second and final entrant for the Dutch talent Kovacs. The 25 year old singer from Eindhoven, which is officially called Sharon Kovacs, scored last week with Diggin  the Megahit on 3FM and resulting this week in a listing in the Mega Top 50.

Her previous single, My Love was in 2014 already proclaimed Megahit and also when she scored a Top 50 Mega-hit song with that. Both tracks on Kovacs' debut album Shades Of Black , that is going to appear in April.
