Facebook, Youtube, Google Maps, Gmail Pandora and account for most of the time to US consumers and Britain, according to a study by Forrester

Barcelona (ACN) - A report from market research firm Forrester on marketing trends in applications for mobile devices indicates that consumers in the United States and Britain used an average of 24 applications per month , but spend more than 80% of time in his five favorite applications.

In the US, these five apps are  Facebook , Youtube , Google Maps , Pandora and Gmail. Other apps that appear at the top between the preferences of US users are Stock and Weather (apps on the Stock Exchange and Time), Netflix ( movies and series streaming), Instagram and Kindle (to read ebooks). 

Research indicates that consumers downloaded many apps, but devote their time only a handful of them. In the US, the five most popular applications represent 28% of total time devoted to using apps.

Presumably this behavior of Anglo consumers target the greater part of the time to a very narrow range of apps- is similar in other markets, although most used apps vary from country to country.

The success of the Pandora music app in the US, for example, is comparable to the success of Spotify in many European countries. And as Whatsapp messaging applications, which does not appear until number 15 on the US list, surely would be among the top of the list in countries like Spain.
