Salman Khan hit and run case: Original statement, documents missing
The original statements and documents related to the Salman Khan hit and run case are missing. Taking note of the issue, the court has summoned the previous Investigation Officer (IO).
The court has set September 12 as the next date of hearing and has ordered Kishan Shengal, the former IO in the case, to be present.
This is not the first time the case was delayed due to the unavailability of the original documents pertaining to the case. A month was given to the public prosecutor to locate the missing documents. On Thursday, the public prosecutor informed the court that the original documents could not be found.
The IO will have to file an affidavit in court on how the document went missing.
Out of 63 documents, 7 original documents are missing. The parties, however, have photocopies of these documents.
