Sidharth Malhotra uncomfortable with Mohit Suri'sdark world in EK VILLAIN?

Majority of Mohit's films tend to step into a slightly
dark zone. Therefore, right from ZEHER to
AASHIQUI-2, Mohit has seldom presented a feel-
good side of the world. This has been the case in EK
VILLAIN , which could well be a discomforting outing
for anyone, especially when living a role for months at
stretch.
'Can you imagine,' says Sid in mock horror, while
adding, 'There I was, promoting HASEE TOH PHASEE
one day and shooting EK VILLAIN on another. It
wasn't easy to be switching on and off in quick time.
In fact on one instance I remember requesting Mohit
for a three day break as I needed to mentally collect
myself before facing the camera again for EK
VILLAIN.'
'Having said that, it wasn't discomforting but being
conscious of doing something new. I was more
concerned that I had not done anything like this
before, which was occasionally alienating. It isn't
something that I could have come up with just like
that; I had to bring in new emotions. There is a new
dark side of mine that I explored in EK VILLAIN. When
you watch the film, you will realize how it is all
coming together in the context of the story,' he says.
